The “ski week” vacation period for schools, to be launched in 2015 has been eventually postponed, as it was nowhere in the Education Ministry’s plan for the 2014-2015 school year, which currently in process. The proposal for the establishment of a new annual four-day school holiday period in Greece, so families could enjoy extra vacation during winter, was originally made by the Hellenic Federation of Hoteliers and backed by the Ministry of Tourism. It was considered to launch in March. However, the proposal was raising issues to be resolved with other ministries and put temporarily on hold and, as it appears, excluded for the following year’s plan, which is due to be announced within the coming days.
