From Holy Monday to Holy Wednesday, the Maria Callas Museum invites children aged 5 to 10 to the Easter Camp MCM Kids, a creative camp filled with music, theatre, visual arts, and play.
Every morning, from 10:00 to 13:00, children will experience the magic of spring both inside and outside the Museum, taking part in hands-on, art-based activities. Through play and artistic exploration, they will become familiar with the performing arts while discovering the life and work of Maria Callas. At the same time, they will get to know the Museum as a space for creativity and playful learning, explore their imagination, and understand how opera brings together different art forms into one unified experience.
Easter Camp MCM Kids Program
Holy Monday, April 6, 2026 | When the Egg Went Missing!
Easter treasure hunt & art workshop
A mysterious musical Easter egg, meant to appear in a performance of Carmen, has gone missing inside the Museum—and the children are invited to find it through a musical treasure hunt. Guided by imagination, teamwork, and the sounds emerging from the exhibits, children explore the Museum’s spaces, solve riddles, and uncover hidden stories.
The day concludes with a creative workshop, where children transform their experience into a three-dimensional Easter egg, inspired by the colors, sounds, and emotions of the day.
Holy Tuesday, April 7, 2026 | Musical Canvases!
Visual arts activity & musical storytelling
Spring has arrived both inside and outside the Museum, inspiring children through nature and music. Participants step outdoors to observe the colors and imagery of spring through an exploration game. Back inside, they listen to musical excerpts in the Museum’s staged rooms, connecting sounds with emotions and images. The day culminates in the collective creation of a large spring-themed canvas—more than just an artwork, it becomes the setting of a story born from play, storytelling, and imagination. The children’s story will be presented within the Museum’s exhibition space.
Holy Wednesday, April 8, 2026 | OPERA: SOS!
Theatre education program
On the final day, everything is turned upside down: opera has disappeared, and nothing is in its place. The children take action, forming teams of set designers, musicians, singers, actors, and technicians.
Working together, they recreate an opera from scratch—its story, music, stage design, and roles. The day culminates in the presentation of the “lost opera,” bringing together everything they have learned and created in a celebration of art, imagination, and teamwork.
