The International Festival of Digital Arts and New Media will start on October 2 to October 5 celebrating its ten-year long faithful presence at “Technopolis” City of Athens. The festival represents the combination of the industrial heritage of the old gas factory with digital arts and technology aiming at providing cultural energy that will illuminate the city and expanding creativity to the edge.

Through its program, that brings eight categories: video art, animation, applications, installations, performances, digital image, web art and music, the festival offers a range of New Media exhibitions, Screenings, Live Performances, Workshops and International Tributes. Athens Video Art Festival is organized in order to gather a global community of artist and audiences such as international and local aspects. This year’s edition is not based on statements but on different readings of the same story based on  the vague and ambiguous but entrenched boundaries between the different practices of new media.

The International Festival looks for creative and talented young people that can participate with their inspiration in its 10th anniversary. The participation of the festival is composed of dozens of young people, either from their independent initiative, or in cooperation of local authorities, associations and non-governmental organizations for reinvigorating team spirit.
